I have always wanted to have a large, printed map of the earth, with little flags at all locations I've traveled to, lived in, and enjoyed. I also wanted it to be a map with the North and South Pole switched, just to see if and how that impacts the world view. I couldn't really find a good printed version of the flipped-poles map, so I drew a digital version instead. You can drag it around and point the poles into any direction.
On this map, the whole earth is projected onto a disc using the Lambert azimuthal equal-area projection. Inspired by work of Mike Bostock and John Caplewski.
